County Waterford is located on the south coast of Ireland with a population of 96,000. Its main city is Waterford with other larger towns located at Dungarven, Tramore, Portlaw, Lismore and Ardmore. County Waterford offers an array of beautiful scenery, spectacular coastline, breathtaking river valleys and a glorious range of accessible mountains. Waterford City was established in Viking times and is now thriving city having much to offer the tourist and local residents. The port offers harbour and docking facilities to both small and large boats. Shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs are plentiful in the city. Waterford is probably most famous for "Waterford Crystal" which is considered amongst the best crystal glass in the world and exported to the four corners of the globe. The Waterford Glass factory is open to the public where the manufacturing process can be observed and products can bought in the factory shop. Tramore, Dunmore East and Ardmore provide entertaining and beautiful seaside resorts within the county borders. Tourist attractions and places to visit include Curraghmore House, Lismore Heritage Centre, the Walls of Waterford and Reginalds Tower.
