Norwegian Spruce, Larch and Sycamore. The forest runs down the hillside to the extensive, private lake. The picture shows but a section of the lake as it sweeps around the hillside. You have to be prepared to share it with red fox, hare, cock, pheasant, mute swans, and a multitude of protected birdlife. YOUR STONE COTTAGE: The 150 year old cottage is cosy, romantic and just the way folk lived "all those years ago." Low slung doors. Whilst retaining the cottage's antiquity, the restoration has not compromised its character. Tastefully delivered and brought into the new world. Two single beds and a sofa couch for the third person or little one. In addition to the self catering cottage, rooms en suite are available in the main house. No utility extras. THE LAKE: A fishermen paradise. A boat is available for use, launched from 1 Km of private lakefront - circa 120 acres. Pathways have been created throughout the property for walks etc and start and finish at the stone built barbecue area, ideal for entertaining. The lake is stocked with pike, perch and roach. | ||
