Furnished with antiques and old paintings, the house has interesting gardens with mature trees and many rare shrubs. Ghillies can be arranged for trout and salmon fishing. Woodland walks, horse riding, golf on a number of championship courses and hill climbing are all available nearby. Delicious dinners by candlelight make use of local produce such as wild salmon and succulent mountain lamb. Glendalough is a house for all seasons and an excellent base from which to tour the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry, with their many ancient ruins and historic sites. Season: Open: from March 1st until November 30th. Credit Cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Amex. Given the nature of the house, it is unsuitable for children under 10 years of age. Dogs by arrangement only. Smoking is restricted. From Killorglin take Ring of Kerry road (N70) towards Glenbeigh for 5km. Turn left at the sign for Glendalough House & Caragh Lake. Continue to the end of the road, and then our entrance is on the right. | ||
