Description: You'll know you've arrived at the right house as you enter the driveway, when you see the wooden churns on the pillars. These were used in past times to make butter and while we don't make butter ourselves we do make our own breads using - you guessed it - buttermilk. Indeed if you feel up to it a recommended early morning tonic is a glass of buttermilk, which is always available. The home baking is something we're proud of, and is in evidence from the moment you arrive when you'll be greeted with tea/coffee and porter cake made with "the black stuff" - Guinness.

Description: Welcome to Killary Lodge... in Connemara, Co. Galway, on the West coast of Ireland, offers B&B accommodation, at a hotel standard. A charming country house, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, excellent home-cooked food and wine list, en-suite rooms, tennis court, sauna, conference facilities and above all staff that make you feel more than welcome and will create for you the traditional comforts for which the Irish hospitality is famous. Superbly located in woodland on the shores of Killary Harbour, near Leenane, sister company of the Killary Adventure Company, our unusual hotel and inn provides the best of both worlds, for people who are attracted to the idea of trying an outdoor activity while on holidays but also want the comfort of a country house at the end of a long day in the fresh air. It is also ideal for families and for people who want to flee the hustle and bustle of city life and just merely relax. Killary Lodge was re-built within the walls of an old fishing lodge in 1990. Two years later a new wing was added, providing spacious family rooms, a sauna, and conference room, as well as a drying room for outdoor clothing.
