Cliffs of Moher, County Clare County Clare is one of the Republic of  Ireland's most popular counties to visit for tourists and provides an excellent starting place for touring the west coast of Ireland. It has a population of 94,000. Its main town is Ennis with other larger towns located at Ennistymon, Lahinch, Kilkee, Killaloe, Kilrush, Shannon, Corofin and Lisdonvarna. County Clare shares borders with counties Limerick, Tipperary and Galway.  Some of the most dramatic coastline in Ireland is to be found on County Clare with the Cliffs of Moher steeply dropping to the Atlantic ocean. Ireland's longest river, the Shannon, meets the Atlantic Ocean on the shores of Clare. The landscape is diverse and ranges from hilly areas to low lowing agricultural land.

County Clare has a rich history with many places for the visitor to see.
